Pocket Portal is an online authoring environment that enables non-technical users to create customised mobile applications.

Brand and content owners use it to publish news, sell mobile content and author portals. The tool encompasses sophisticated premium billing options, including SMS, IVR and credit cards.

Pocket Portal automatically generates a wide range of Java and Symbian applications to cover the fragmented handset market, which saves users the time-costly adaptation.

Soundtrack Channel (STC) is an interactive entertainment channel on Sky Digital 241.

The channel shows music videos from movie and television soundtracks, as well as entertainment news, behind-the-scenes features and celebrity interviews.

Embedded in the 24/7 viewing experience are mobile interactive services that allow viewers to answer trivia questions and interact with the programming via text messaging services on their mobile phones.

In addition to current and classic music videos from movie and television soundtracks, STC features exclusive soundtrack music videos produced especially for STC viewers and original series and specials

The Vorfreu.de game is an online financial simulation commissioned by Germany's 2nd largest bank, the HVB Group.

Players learn how financial decisions affect their retirement years in an entertaining, interactive setting, where each day of play represents a year in the player's life.

The game rests on a bespoke content management system, which mirrors real life banking procedures to accurately forecast financial development.

Developed an easy-to-use and cost-effective workflow that enables rapid updates of the graphic interface for all seven of RealNetworks' European Realguide websites.

This process allows editorial staff to create graphics for the RealGuides on a daily basis without assistance from graphic designers.

Bitfilm.de is a short film portal which encourages the development of a new digital moviemaking culture. Internet users can watch short films, film makers can present their work and Bitfilm has the possibility to syndicate the content.

The Bitfilm.de business plan won funding from Hamburg Newmedia @ Work. Received well by the press and industry, the website grew rapidly in terms of films and users. The content was syndicated to prominent Internet companies such as Europe Online. In June 2001 Bitfilm.de received the highly acclaimed Grimme Online Award.

Project: Misona Kino-Show

One of the first weekly entertainment shows on the Internet to use streaming video, Flash and Shockwave. The show offered TV-style information in a truly interactive way via video clips, moderations, quizzes and downloads. Misona was featured in the MSN Top 5 while it was online.

This show was designed for Internet Explorer on a PC. It also works with Netscape and a Mac but not as well. You need a good connection, Flash, Shockwave and Windows Media Player. This show is not intended for commercial purposes, all copyrights belong to their respective holders.

Project: NDR CD-ROM
Year: 1998

When NDR Television established its new digital broadcast centre in Schwerin, Germany, they wanted a complete digital documentation to go with it. The resulting CD-ROM was a great success. Although it was developed on a shoestring budget, the project was able to draw on the NDR's extensive resources ranging from their audio/video archive to experienced steadycam operators.

In introducing their new watch collection, Montblanc used a CD-ROM to train their worldwide sales personnel. This lavish CD provided the neccessary information via charts and videos in 6 languages.

The scanner and printer manufacturer introduced each new product with an extensive multimedia manual, explaining all necessary detail for handling.

This joint venture between Steinberg and Music Sales London became a top seller on the German CD charts.
